• I have received a Leading Edge Music e-voucher/card. How can I use this to redeem music?
    Vouchers can be redeemed by registered Leading Edge Music account holders on all goods available on Leadingedgemusic.com.au. To redeem your voucher, simply choose the items you would like to purchase, add them to your shopping cart, and then include your voucher into the ‘redeem voucher’ form and click submit. Your account will be loaded with the value your voucher is entitled for then check out!

    If the total value of your order is less than the value of your gift card/voucher, the remaining balance will remain on your voucher for redemption within 12 months of your first activation of the voucher on the Leading Edge Music site. If the total value of your order exceeds the value of your gift card/voucher then the remaining balance shall be charged to you via your selected payment method.

    Physical vouchers purchased at a Leading Edge Music store cannot be redeemed online; these can only be redeemed in store.

    I pre-ordered a product on Leadingedgemusic.com.au. When will I receive it?
    Please make note of the release date of the product you pre-ordered – we cannot deliver ' your selected product until the designated release date.

    If you have pre-ordered a digital product, a link to download the digital product will be sent via email to your registered address on the relevant release date. You will not be charged until you are sent this confirmation email.

    If you have pre-ordered a physical product, Leading Edge Music will ship it to you at the earliest available date following Leading Edge Music’s receipt of the physical stock and in accordance with the shipping options selected by you during the ordering process. Physical products are generally shipped one or two days prior to release date. You will also be sent a confirmation email to your registered address as soon as your product has been shipped, and you will not be charged until you are sent this email.

    Please note that for regional locations, delivery may take up to five business days.

    Why sign up to Leading Edge Music?
    Leading Edge Music is a total music destination. By signing up (registration is free) you will have access to a wide variety of the latest music releases (CDs, digital & vinyl), fan merchandise, pre-order opportunities, the hottest competitions, and music & tour news as it breaks - all in the one place. The site is interactive and customisable, meaning you can create your own user profile, and share your thoughts/moods/musings with like-minded music buffs.

    You can opt out of mailing lists you have signed up to at any time, set your profile to private, and customise your Leading Edge Music experience in the way that suits you best.

    How do I sign up?
    Head to the home page and click on the ‘My Profile’ tab. Once you have completed a simple sign up form, we’ll send an email confirmation, with a link. Use this link to confirm your registration.

    You can leave your customising experience till later when you have more time to explore the site, or get personal as soon as you sign up – converting your profile to reflect your personality, add bands that you love.

    You must be a registered Account Holder in order to purchase music, redeem vouchers and use certain features and functions of the Leading Edge Music service and website.

    I’m already registered. How do I log in?
    Click on the ‘log in’ link at top of page and enter your details.

    If you haven’t logged in already, you will be prompted to log in when trying to access certain members only features – such as commenting, rating, and other interactive features

    I’ve forgotten my password. How do I get a new one?
    Head to the log in page, and click the “forgot password” link. An email will be sent to your registered email address so that you can reset your password and log in.

    What happens when I "become a fan" of an artist?
    When you become a fan of an artist you agree to join their online community and email database. As a result you will be sent information regarding special offers, news, competitions and exclusives. You could also win tickets to gigs, hear about free downloads, have exclusive access to pre-orders and many more exciting opportunities. Please note that entry into competitions promoted through the Leading Edge Music website may be subject to specific terms and conditions in each instance. You will ONLY be sent information relating to the specific artist you have selected to follow. At Leading Edge Music, we do not spam.

    Are there any system requirements to use the Leading Edge Music website?
    Before accessing Leading Edge Music it is recommended that you be using the operating systems Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

    To ensure smooth running and that you are able to properly view all content on the Leading Edge Music site, it is also recommended that you download Adobe Flash player.

    The Leading Edge Music site should be able to be viewed with most current internet browser software, including Internet Explorer (Version 5.0 or later) and Mozilla Firefox (version 1.5 or later). If you are running an earlier version it is recommended you download the relevant update in order for all features of the site to work smoothly.

    What can I buy on Leading Edge Music?
    The Leading Edge Music store gives you access to a purchase a range of items including physical product (CD’s), digital product (mp3 downloads), band and music merchandise, music DVDs and even the latest vinyl LPs. It's the only online store of its kind in Australia!

    Please note that items on the Leading Edge Music store are available only in Australia. If you are not in Australia you will not be able to make a purchase. For further information regarding purchasing products via the Leading Edge Music website please read our Terms of Use.

    How can I pay for items on Leading Edge Music?
    You can pay for items in your shopping cart by going to the checkout and utilising the payment methods available. You can purchase with an Australian Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard) or via your personal PayPal account. Transactions via the website are subject to our Terms of Use.

    We are unable to accept credit cards or PayPal accounts issued by banks outside of Australia.

    How do I buy music?
    To purchase any item from the Leading Edge Music website you will need to be a registered account holder (see above for details under the heading 'How do I sign up'). Once registered and logged in, you will be able to select products by clicking on the relevant 'buy' buttons located throughout site. Clicking on these buttons adds the product to your shopping cart.

    Once you are ready to buy your selected products, follow the checkout process by clicking the 'checkout' button on your shopping cart. Checkout includes an opportunity to confirm the products you wish to buy, and enter your correct payment details. You can pay for your items via several methods (outlined above under the heading 'How can I pay for items on Leading Edge Music').

    After successful payment for your selected products you will receive a confirmation email to your registered address including all the relevant transaction details. For digital purchases - to access your music download, a 'download now' button will be displayed on the site after you’ve confirmed your purchase. A 'download' button will also be displayed within the confirmation email sent to your registered address.

    For purchases of physical product – your product will be shipped according to the shipment option you selected as part of checkout process. You will be sent a confirmation email as soon as the product has been shipped to you.

    Are these payment methods secure?
    The Leading Edge Music website uses industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and encryption technology to ensure that information relating to your account and purchases is secure.

    What will appear on my purchase statement?
    'Leading Edge Music (Universal Music Australia)' will appear on your credit card statement with reference to the specific payments made in each case.

    I’ve tried to make a purchase with my credit card / PayPal account, but it is not working. What’s wrong?
    Please check that you are using a credit card or PayPal account issued in Australia and that you have sufficient funds. Please use the "Contact Us" link at the footer of this site and using the order enquiry form if you are experiencing further issues.

    How do I choose where to store my download on my PC?
    If you have bought a digital product, click on the 'Download' icon and a new window will open. Click on the button 'store' and choose the folder in which you would like to save the file.
    Your songs will download as MP3 files inside a ZIP file. Once downloaded, unzip the file to your music folder.

    What is the file format of my downloads?
    All digital downloads are MP3s, with a bit rate of 256kps. The files are compatible with most software including Windows Media Player and iTunes, and many portable devices, including iPods.

    Can I burn my downloads to a CD?
    Yes, purchased songs can be burnt onto a CD. Simply access the files you wish to transfer to CD and follow your individual software instructions to burn via your computer hardware.

    Purchased songs may not be uploaded to any ‘peer cache’ or ‘file sharing’ sites on the internet, or copied in an unauthorised manner.

    Can I transfer my downloads to an MP3 player?
    Yes, you can transfer to an MP3 player. Simply import your MP3 files into the software you wish to use (such as Windows Media Player or iTunes) by selecting the files and dragging them into the open window.

    Once the music has been transferred into the player, follow the individual software instructions to transfer onto your MP3 player.

    Can I play my music on someone else’s PC?
    For every music file you download, you receive a license for your computer. The music file cannot be played on another computer.

    What postage options are there for physical items?
    There are two main postage options for physical products:

    Standard Australia Post: Within Sydney metropolitan areas, delivery is usually the next business day after posting. For all other Metropolitan areas, delivery generally takes 1-3 working days. For country locations, delivery can take up to 5 business days. For more detail, contact your local post office.

    Australian Air Express: Each parcel has an individual tracking number and must be signed for upon delivery, unless instructions are provided otherwise at the time of checkout (for example, if you won’t be home but would like your product left with a neighbour). This service is usually faster (packages will arrive to most destinations across Australia within 48 hours) and more secure than standard postage.

    NOTE – the delivery times outlined above cannot be guaranteed and any stated delivery times are intended as estimates only. Note that for certain purchases, we will recommend AAE. Usually this will be recommended for a more expensive or weighty physical products.

    My internet connection failed whilst downloading my music. How can I re-access this music?
    You will also find links to download your music on your Confirmation email / Tax Invoice.

    I ordered a physical product, but it hasn’t arrived. What happens now?
    If your package has not arrived, please contact our Customer Service team, via the "Contact Us" link at the footer of this site. Please include your order number. We will attempt to trace your package.

    So that we can confirm that an order has been lost, we must wait until the maximum delivery time has expired. Please see “Postage Options” for standard delivery times.

    My CD has just arrived, but something’s wrong with it (scratched, damaged or not what I ordered). What happens now?
    If you receive any product that is damaged or not what you ordered, please contact our Customer Service team, via the "Contact Us" link at the footer of this site, within 14 working days of receiving the goods. Please include details as to the problem with your product and your order number.

    Damaged, faulty or incorrect goods will be replaced.

    All damaged, faulty or incorrect goods must be returned to Leading Edge Music. Once you have contacted our Customer Service team, we will provide you with a postage-paid package which should be used to return the goods.

    I placed two separate orders on Leading Edge Music recently. Will they arrive together?
    We endeavour to ship all physical goods as soon possible after we receive your order. As such, items purchased in separate transactions will be shipped separately.

    I want to order a T-shirt of my favourite artist but am unsure about sizes. What are the measurements of each size?
    All T-shirts on Leading Edge Music follow the below measurement specs. Please check carefully before you place your order.

    Male T-shirts:
    S – Inches (36-38), CM (92-97)
    M – Inches (38-40), CM (97-102)
    L – Inches (40-42), CM (102-107)
    XL – Inches (42-44), CM (107-112)

    Female T-shirts:
    S – Inches (30), CM (76)
    M – Inches (32), CM (81)
    L – Inches (34), CM (86)

    Are refunds possible?
    Refunds will not be offered in the following instances:
    . Where you’ve changed your mind regarding the product purchased or ordered
    · Where the products have been damaged due to incorrect or unintended use once they have been received by you; and
    · Where we have proof of delivery (note that in some instances we require a customer signature upon receipt of goods)

    Leading Edge Music will not refund any 'digital' purchases if these were ordered in error.

    How do I stop receiving emails from Leading Edge Music?
    All emails sent from Leading Edge Music provide an 'unsubscribe' option at the end of the email, with directions on how to unsubscribe. Follow these prompts, and you will be removed from the mailing list.
