So I believe it’s official. Lady Gaga has definitely made a household name for herself with multiple MONSTER tracks from The Fame. The Fame Monster is well on its way to up-stage its predecessor. It’s hard to refute the catchy easy to remember lyrics and easy to dance to up-beat tunes. Note there is a lot of synthesized beats and auto tuned vocals which might be a bit much if you’re not ready to party or just dance. The re-release includes original tracks, none more than ‘Speechless’. Definitely check out the sassy ‘Telephone’ featuring Beyonce and first hit off the release ‘Bad Romance’. If you’re a fan you’ll definitely find The Fame Monster is FABULOUS! If you want more Gaga like you’ve already been exposed to with her singles this is an album you should own.

Say what you will about Lady GaGa, it’s undeniable she’s become quite the chart force recently, and if this is any indication, that’s not about to change. Long-awaited (at least by me), this “re-release” of The Fame, mixes the expanded international edition of The Fame (including LoveGame version with the new final ending –Strangely important to me), with two bonus tracks, and 8 separate “Monster” tracks. I’m looking at the new ones. First, the absolutely glorious Bad Romance. Lady GaGa’s greatest vocal performance, this is irresistible, with thumping verses, fantastic lyrics, a beautiful middle-8, an infectious bridge and a soaring chorus. Alejandro is relaxed & synthy with a summery sound, a gorgeous chorus, fantastic vocals, and you’ll fall for it! Monster opens with a fantastic spoken section, before sliding into a number with a strong middle-8, and fantastic drum effects! Speechless, Lady GaGa’s Queen-esque track somehow works and doesn’t at the same time. It’s a nice and different sound to the rest of the disc. My favourite “Monster” track, Dance In The Dark, is distorted, seductive, mysteriously dark, and INSANELY catchy, and this boasts some fantastic attitude-filled spoken moments. Telephone opens with a gorgeous intro, before exploding into an infectious dancefloor THUMPER, with a throb to it and many “ear-worm” moments. My criticism? Beyonce’s part destroys the vibe. So Happy I Could Die is an interesting one worth a listen, but not the strongest. It’s catchy, with a deep R’n’B beat that works for her, but I’m not “Loving” it. Teeth, the last of the “Monster” tracks, is a fun, quirky number, with a deep infectious beat - Lady GaGa nails it here! Bonus “The Fame” track, “Retro, Dance, Freak” is a quirky one with a catchy, 90’s Spice Girls-esque vibe that works. Growing on me!
