Deutsche Grammophon artist Anoushka Shankar has been named “Best Artist” in the prestigious Songlines Awards 2012, for her album Traveller, in which she embraces the heritage of flamenco from its origins in India to its home in Spain.

Daughter of the legendary musician Ravi Shankar, Anoushka Shankar is established as one of today’s leading performers – receiving worldwide acclaim for her first Deutsche Grammophon album, which she has performed in 60 concerts around the globe.
