From the same school of soulful pop as Duffy and Nelly Furtado, meet Los Angeles-based, Toronto raised singer-songwriter Anjuli,as she releases her self-titled debut album in Australia on the 7th of August.

Already available in the US, the lead track ‘Boom’ went straight to #1 on the billboard dance music charts and songs from Anjulie’s album can also be heard on popular TV shows ‘The Hills’ and ‘The City’.

MTV are another huge supporter; “Anjulie is as sultry as an American August apartment in a powerout. Her bold vocals ride a seductive boom-bap beat, reeling in listeners with whispered sexuality. ” – MTV.com.

Anjulie has also being chosen as an ‘MTV Freshman 5’ – one of only five artists across the entire US that MTV thinks will break in 2009.

In an Australian first, Anjulie’s debut performance in this country will be an online concert experience. From July 6th, visitors to www.anjulielive.com.au will be able to discover who Anjulie is as an artist, download tracks and share their experience with friends via social networks such as Facebook and MySpace. August 3rd will see the launch of Anjulie’s online concerts, where fans can see Anjulie perform songs from her upcoming album. These twice daily gigs will have a unique theatre and stage simulation and allow fans to communicate with each other via an innovative “whisper” feature, just like being at a real concert.
