MUSCLES GOES ON NATIONAL TOUR JUNE 2012
Rating: 27/4/2012
Australian one-man party machine, MUSCLES will be kicking off a National Album Tour to launch his second album ‘Manhood’ - out June 15 on Modular Records.
Muscles will take a wild new live show to Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Erina, Launceston and Hobart in between his Groovin’ the Moo Festival appearance (5-19 May) and Splendour in the Grass (July). Think outrageous stage props, multiple Muscles personalities and extravagant lights!
The tour announcement coincides with the premiere of the first taste of ‘Manhood’ - ‘Ready for A Fight’ which is more anthem than song, more call-to-arms than debut single, more Muscles than you can handle. Described as a prelude to his debut album ‘Guns Babes Lemonade’ (which featured the hit singles ‘One Inch Badge Pin’, ‘Sweaty’ and ‘Ice Cream’), ‘Manhood’ is a no holds barred, electronic post-punk, euro-dance, camp, masculine, pop album that balances itself in its extremity.
The album not only features new Muscles tracks, but also reworks of party favorites from his EP ‘Young and Immature’ and an album version of ‘Girl Crazy Go’. When the final song fades out you can't help but know we all have a little MANHOOD inside all of us.
